I was born and raised in the Midwest. Over the course of my 50 years and counting, I've lived in five states and much prefer a more moderate climate.
The more I ripen {mature} the more I realize how little I know and how much there is to learn and relearn. After being a stay-at-home mom since the birth of my first child and now watching two out of three fly from the nest, I'm in a time of transition. It's as if I am turning the final pages in one book, only to pick up its sequel. But there's a twist. The sequel is still being written and only I can choose what will be recorded on those blank pages.
There was a time when I {arrogantly so} thought I had all the answers. But life has a way of teaching humility--and that is a good thing.
As I venture into the "next book" of my life my hopes are many. I hope to fill the pages with stories that are filled with creativity, compassion for others, being more transparent and vulnerable, making a positive difference in the lives of others, and being faithful in whatever path God has in mind for me.
And I will strive to FROST the whole book with a thick layer of humor.
gardening, reading, decorating, creating, my interests include all things vintage, and growing deeper in my christian faith.
