Slow down world! It's been days and days of nonstop action...all of it good, just busier than I wish to be.
Our college girl was having a birthday and we got to spend four days together. A lot of shopping to find the perfect fixings for her you-get-to-pick-it-out-yourself new bedding.

If anyone wants to know what's currently in stock at Tuesday Morning, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy's, Belks and on and on...just ask me. I know. Been to all of them plus Target, Office Depot, Staples, Goodwill, and a host of other thrift stores looking for small furniture pieces for her rented house. But in the end, she's thrilled with her finds...and it was nice to laugh and play and spend time with my little girl again.
same
little
girl
who
has
always
loved music...
and learned to
whistle as a baby...
& would employ
this talent while out
in public in order to
draw people to her...
then laugh with
delight when the
trick worked exactly
as planned...
with all animals
and wanted one of
each as a pet...
yes, give me the
mother of the year
award as that is a
white rat in her arms...
who thought she was
youngest brother's mother
and would feed him cold
bottles from the fridge b-4
the real nursing
mother had a
chance...
...and scolded me
severely during diaper
changes because I was
wiping him too hard...LOL!
who never let a few
feet of snow get in
the way of some fun...
...and did I mention
entertain our neighbors
constantly with her
antics and the OUTRAGEOUS
stories she would tell them?
blink of an eye, she went from
a little girl to a young woman...
...so spending four days with
her was time well spent even
if it now means I'm scrambling to catch up on other matters...
I apologize if you've sent me a note and haven't heard back. About the only blogging I've done is to read through my google reader.
Thanks for letting me take a little stroll down memory lane. Every time I do I am reminded all over again how precious are the ones we love and how quickly time passes by.
Now I'm off to do a little catching up on blogs...

She is such a sweetheart!
My daughters (and son) are grown & living far away - oh how I would love to be able to spend time like this with them. So precious!
Wishing you a wonderful day, Sue!

Your daughter is gorgeous, Sue! Our kids are all grown and living away, like Zuzu's. We've only one still at home. Time goes by so quickly. You've no idea how much I enjoyed this post. I thought of my kids growing up and where they are today. **sigh** I think I need a "kid hug" now!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo

Well, I wasn't prepared for tears this Thursday morning, but you've succeeded to draw them out! Sniff, this was so sweet. Cherish every moment, right? So happy for you...

Autumn

Oh my goodness! Sounds so much like my daughter! And, yes, my dear son grew up with two mothers... me and his older sister! And now they live an hour from me and a few houses from each other...both married. I'm so glad they like each other...there were a few years I wasn't sure. ha!
