Even though it's freezing outside
{i am not a fan of freezing}
I will give thanks
because I have a warm home to live in.
with lots of photos i never backed up,
and the only computer where i can gain full access
to all the contents of my email
is frozen,
and displays a screen that the computer
geeks in my google searches refer to as
"the blue screen from hell"...
I will give thanks...
...because my little Sophie dog cares.
Take note of that soulful look of empathy
I receive from her everytime I moan and groan
when my attempts to fix the computer fail.
~~~~~~
Now, for all you texture lovers, here's
a copy of the texture I used on the two
photos above...please feel free to
make a copy for your own files!
This is actually a photo I took from the
underside of one of those old
enameled kitchen tables!
On the flower picture, I applied the texture
twice, once at 100% soft light, and the top layer
at 50% screen. On puppy, it was two layers
of the texture, both soft light,
the first at 100% and the second at 27%.
I think this would look really FUN on a snow scene...
we don't get snow in Atlanta.
Usually, anyhow.
So I will give thanks for that too!
{okay. maybe a little around Christmas would be nice.}
tee hee...
Ugh . . . I can't imagine how frustrating that has to be!!! And there are not many acceptable ways to vent frustration on a computer!! I love, love, love that texture with the flowers. Absolutely dreamy!! I sure hope you get use of that computer back shortly. That can ruin Christmas cheer in a hurry : ) !!
oh NO not the blue screen of death...that is never good...there is hope to rescue lost files though I have not a clue how it works...but there IS a way eventually...you are THE most upbeat and cheerful person Sue and I adore your photos and can just see you crawling under that special table getting back out running for the camera or do you always have it around your neck heehee
I walk to the mailbox (at the curb) with mine often ;)
hope you can rescue those files...and I am going to back up all recent stuff right now
thank you for sharing as always...one day as soon as I focus I will understand what you did and how to use that lovely texture (had to scroll up to see what you called it...yes I am still that far behind)
Happy December weekend to you and yours dear Lady
Oh no. I thought those blue screens of death were a thing from our pasts. I just hate having computer problems. I say they should work perfectly all of the time.
We had snow last Saturday, and it has been unseasonably cold. I am a south Florida girl in my heart. I am more into sway palms and soft warm breezes.
Oh dear, I am sorry for your computer problems. Is it a lap top? When I get the blue screen on my lap top, I flip it over and take the battery out, wait a few seconds and put it back in. Seems to work every time, but it depends on the problem I suppose.
We just got a new computer for Christmas (mine is old too and no space left) so I can't wait to get back to PSE, which crashes on this cranky old thing LOL
Your photographs are beautiful and I love the textures, Sophie is a doll, reminds me so much of our Andy boy.
Thank you for sharing your texture dahling, I will save it to my new computer today:)
Happy Weekend,
Lynn
Oh, Lord, NOooooooo!!!!! Not the dreaded "blue screen of death"!!!! Hopefully, you'll be able to recover some of your beloved files. Will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you. And, your Sophie is gorgeous! (I just looked at her eyes and melted!) Isn't it awesome the way our fur babies know when WE need a bit of extra love?!? Thank you for the gorgeous texture. Hugs, Terri xoxo
Blue screen. Ouch. So, are you at a new computer?
Love your texture, Sue. Isn't it fun making your own? Hubby thought I'd lost it when I was taking closeups of brick walls and snow. :)
Wishing you a cozy one,
~ Zuzu
