Ups and downs, backwards and forward.
Highs and lows.
Joy and sorrow.
"Such is life." Words uttered many times by my dear mother.
At eighty-eight years old, she's experienced a lot in her life. But yesterday, with no warning, while walking back from the dining hall where she lives, her hip gave out. Such an unusual break that the local hospital in the city where she lives wasn't equipped to handle such a surgery.
Of course, my heart weighs a thousand pounds right now. Deep concern for her comfort as well as the emotional upheaval in my own heart knowing that this is not good.
Chances are great that I'll be away for a while. Your prayers would mean the world to me...Xo
Wow - what an incredible shot.

Boy do I understand the words you write. I am away from my parents and things are not well there. I just got back from a trip to visit them, but my heart breaks that the distance is so far. Our parents are aging, we are aging...and things get so scary sometimes. I will say a prayer for your mom and for you as well, because I can feel the emotion in your post. Gentle hugs...

Oh so sorry about your dear Mother and I hope she isn't in any pain and I'm sure they are doing what they can for her. I will say some prayers for her and your family too. In fact I already have.
You stopped by my blog last week and left me a sweet comment and I am so sorry it's taken me this long to return the visit. But I am so glad I did! I love your blog and the room over your garage and all your beautiful photo's. I had to smile at the dolly in the tree. I collect dolls too.
Prayers and Blessings

Checked in to see what you've been up to. I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. I'll include you both in my prayers. Hope she's better by now. :(

Sue - I am so so sorry for this burden that you bear right now - I certainly hope and pray that your Mother recovers successfully. It is such a worry when our parents age and to see them suffer. I will remember you both in my prayers tonight.
You visited me earlier this year in the "Where Bloggers Create" party - and shamefully - I am just now getting around to returning your visit. I am glad that I arrived just in time to lend my prayers to your support.

Oh, Sue!
I was away during this period with Mr. Magpie's illness and with Adelaide's final battle, and I didn't know this had happened to you. I'm so sorry. I hope and pray that things are better now. I am blogging only sporadically right now because my life has really changed, but I was missing you today and wanted to drop by and say, "Hi!"
Sending prayers and love your way...
XO,
Sheila
